1Corinthians 15:43
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
Apostle Paul contrasts between the weakness and power of the resurrected body
Weakness in the Greek is - Strong's G769 - astheneia. It means:
- infirmity, infirmities.
- sickness.
- diseases.
- weakness.
Scriptures in which weakness = infirmity and infirmities.
When we group the texts together and read them through, we understand that Paul conveys two meanings.
First, the body is frail.
Mat 8:17
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, G769 and bare our sicknesses.
Luk 5:15
But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. G769
Luk 8:2
And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, G769 Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils.
Luk 13:11
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity G769 eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
Luk 13:12
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. G769

Scriptures in which weakness = sickness.
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness G769 is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.
Scriptures in which weakness = disease
Act 28:9So when this was done, others also, which had diseases G769 in the island, came, and were healed:
Scriptures in which weakness = weakness
1Co 2:3
And I was with you in weakness, G769 and in fear, and in much trembling.
1Co 15:43
It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; G769 it is raised in power.
It seems to me that another meaning for weakness is the humility of God to which Christ subjected Himself. He could have called legions of angels to save Him from the cross, but He did not. The saints also follow His example by living with the same meek spirit that dwelt in Christ:
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness G769 were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
The Power (Strong's G1411 - dynamis) of the Resurrected Body
The resurrected undergo transformation from weakness to power. It will no longer be subject to sickness, infirmities or weakness of any kind. When Jesus was resurrected, He bore the scars of His suffering, but He had a new body that:
- was completely healed of the wounds.
- could appear and vanish
- could ascend and descend between Heaven and earth.
- possessed immortality - His human body died, but His resurrected body was immortal:
