Paul now makes a comparison between the glory of the sun, moon and stars. Each of these radiates light in varying degrees of splendour. His comparison signals to us that LIFHT is the glory of the celestial body in this context.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

These texts reveal that the celestial body will radiate brilliant light. Pay attention to the examples. These include the light  which Jesus radiated during His  transfiguration and the light which shone from Moses' face.

God did not name days

Did you know that in biblical times, there was no "Monday" or "Friday"? 🤔 We clearly see this in Genesis 1 when our Creator named the days by numbers. This pattern continued in the Bible.

In the Bible, days were simply numbered: "The First Day," "The Second Day," leading up to the "Sabbath" (the Seventh Day). This simple, numbered system reflected a direct counting from the Creator's week.

When did modern weekday names appear, and who named them?

The concept of naming days after planets and false gods is a much later invention!  Around the Roman Empire era (1st-4th centuries AD), days began to be associated with celestial bodies and their corresponding false gods. This practice spread throughout Europe, influencing languages like English, which combined Roman and Germanic traditions.

Here's the breakdown of what each day's name means:

Note that naming days is the world system's way of departing from the order and will of God. The purpose is to focus attention to false gods which will be cast into the lake of fire on the Great Judgment Day. When Jesus reigns as King, He will reinstitute God's Calendar:

• Sunday: Named after the Sun (Old English: Sunnandæg). A day dedicated to the primary celestial body.

• Monday: Named after the Moon (Old English: Monandæg). The moon's influence was also deeply revered.

• Tuesday: Named after Tiw (Old English: Tiwesdæg), the Norse god of war and law, equivalent to the Roman god Mars.

• Wednesday: Named after Woden (Old English: Wodnesdæg), the chief Anglo-Saxon/Norse god (like Odin), associated with wisdom, magic, and poetry, equivalent to the Roman Mercury.

• Thursday: Named after Thor (Old English: Þunresdæg - "Thunor's day"), the Norse false god of thunder and strength, equivalent to the Roman Jupiter.

• Friday: Named after Frigg/Freyja (Old English: Frīgedæg), the Norse false goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, equivalent to the Roman Venus.

• Saturday: Named after Saturn (Old English: Sæternesdæg), the Roman false god of agriculture and time.

These names existed long before Pope Gregory XIII introduced the Gregorian Calendar in 1582. His reform mainly corrected the leap year system to keep the calendar aligned with the solar year, but he kept the existing day names.

How should believers deal with this information?

We live in the earth and are influenced by its calendar. However, we need to know that God's calendar exists for a purpose and how it is structured.  Let's pray for the Kingdom of God to  come in the earth  so that we can be closely aligned with the purposes of God.

It is incorrect to study the bible days and calendar with the Gregorian Calendar

I was once ignorant of the fact that the Bible days and calendar were not Gregorian. However, God has since opened my eyes. 

I used to study the bible using the Gregorian Days. That is incorrect. We need to use God's system when studying the bible in order to:

✅ interpret the truth correctly and to 

✅ know where the human race is on God's 10,000 year timeline.

📕Two Events Took Place in The Heavens During the Revolt

1️⃣ Halley's Comet

 Josephus records that in 66AD, a star, which resembled a sword, stood over the city and hung over it for a whole year:

Thus there was a star, resembling a sword, which stood over the city: and a comet, that continued a whole year (Jewish War, Book 6, Chapter 5, Section 3).

Astronomy confirms that this was Halley's Comet. A comet is a massive celestial body made of ice, dust, and rocky particles that orbits the Sun. When its orbit brings it close to the Sun, the ice vaporizes, creating a glowing "tail"

Here are the characteristics of Halley's Comet: 

• shaped like a sword.
• becomes visible when it is closest to the sun.
• appears every 75-76 years.
• is usually visible for a few weeks and not an entire year.

📕Time of the appearance of Halley's Comet on the calendar 

Halley's Comet appeared in early January 66 CE, coinciding with the outbreak of the First Jewish-Roman War.  Early January 66CE/AD would map month 10 on the Jewish Calendar.

This meant that the comet appeared before the end of the Jewish year, and about two months before the end of the 6th millennium. 

The comet reached its perihelion (closest point to the Sun) on January 25, 66 CE. That maps Jewish month 11 approximately.

Halley's Comet remained visible in the night sky over Jerusalem through the winter and spring of that year. The implication is that the comet remained over Jersualem when the new millinneum (year 6001) began on God's calendar. 

📕Do comets cause meteor showers on the earth?

Yes, comets release debris that creates meteor showers on Earth. As a comet travels close to the Sun, its frozen ices vaporize, releasing streams of dust and rocky particles into space. When Earth passes through these debris trails, the particles burn up in our atmosphere as meteors. [1, 2]

Halley's Comet causes two separate annual meteor showers as Earth passes through the debris stream left behind in its orbit. [1, 2]  These Annual Debris Showers are:

• Eta Aquariids: This shower peaks every year between May 4 and May 6 when Earth crosses the inbound path of the comet's orbit. Therefore these meteor showers would have been visible in Jerusalem around Jewish month 2 of the year 6001 - the timeline of the fig tree parable.
• Orionids: This shower peaks every year around October 21 and October 22 when Earth crosses the outbound path of the comet's orbit.

Is a meteor shower the same as falling stars?

Yes, a "falling star" (or shooting star) and a meteor are the exact same thing. They aren't actual stars, but rather tiny bits of space debris that burn up as they slam into Earth's atmosphere.  A "falling star" is a singular event, while a meteor shower is a large-scale occurrence. [1]

• Falling Stars: On any clear night, you might spot a random "falling star". These are tiny pieces of dust or rock (meteoroids) from space that hit Earth's atmosphere at incredibly high speeds, creating friction and heat that causes them to glow. [1, 2, 3, 4]
• Meteor Showers: These occur predictably at specific times of the year when Earth passes through the trail of dusty debris left behind by a comet or asteroid. Instead of seeing one or two meteors an hour, you may see 60 or more in an hour, all appearing to streak out from the same point in the sky (called the radiant)

📕Dates for Halley's comet appearances from 1986 (last sighting) to 2370

Halley's Comet completes its orbit roughly every 75 to 76 years.. It is officially designated as (1P/Halley) and is famous for being the first comet identified as a recurring celestial visitor. 

The exact predicted timeline of future appearances up to 2370 is tracked below by the closest approaches of Halley's Comet to the Sun (perihelion). We're referencing 2370 because that is the timeline for the cleaning of the temple and return of the Lord in the clouds for His millennial reign (Daniel 8: 9-14).

Here is the timeline of Halley Comet appearances from 1986 to 2370:

1986 Appearance

• February 9, 1986: The comet reached perihelion (its closest point to the Sun).
• April 10, 1986: The comet made its closest approach to Earth.
• Scientific Milestones: It became the first comet to be observed in detail by spacecraft. An international armada of spacecraft—including the European Space Agency's Giotto probe—flew near the comet to study its nucleus and structure. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2061 Appearance

• July 28, 2061: The comet will reach perihelion on its return journey.
• Visibility: Astronomers anticipate this return will be a much brighter, more impressive display in the night sky compared to 1986, when Earth was on the opposite side of the Sun. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2130 Appearance

• Estimated Date: Late 2130 or early 2131.
• Details: Due to the gravitational pull of the giant planets, the comet's exact orbital period varies slightly, but the next generation can expect it to grace the night sky around this time. [1, 2]

2207 Appearance

• Estimated Date: Mid to late 2207.
• Details: Halley's Comet will complete another 76-year loop and swing through the inner solar system, returning from the far edge of its elliptical orbit beyond Neptune. [1]

2283 Appearance

• Estimated Date: Mid to late 2283.
• Details: The comet will again loop around the Sun, shedding a fresh trail of debris that creates Earth's annual Eta Aquariid and Orionid meteor showers. [1]

2360 Appearance

• Estimated Date: Mid to late 2360.
• Details: It will return to our skies once more, maintaining its highly stable and predictable roughly 76-year orbital pattern. [1]

📕Is Halley's Comet the sign of the Son of Man that will appear prior Christ's return in the clouds in 2370? 

Based on the Daniel 8 prophecy, I anticipate  that Jesus will return in the clouds in 2370 to rescue Jerusalem during the Battle of Armeggedon. However, the 2360 expected appearance is 10 years before the expected  Battle of Armeggedon which should begin around 2366.

Therefore, based on the timing of its appearance, it is possible that the "sign of the Son of Man" is not Halley's Comet in that era of time.
