Last time we explored whether or not Halley's Comet was the sign of the Son of Man in the heavens? We also saw that the star shaped sword is a picture of the Word of God.

Today we're diving in to determine if  the AD66 chariots in the sky fulfilled Jesus' prophecy:

Mat 24:29
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:


Mat 24:30
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

📕The AD 66 Chariots in the Sky

Apart from Halley's Comet (and its shooting stars/to be explored), the live vision of chariots in the sky was only other sign in the heavens. 

The entire nation saw the live vision and it was recorded by Josephus. He was apriest, a Jewish historian, and captive of the Romans. Josephus had also served in the war as a general before he was captured. 

According to Josephus, the vision of chariots in the clouds took place on  21st of Artemisius (66AD). Roman month Artemisius matches early May AD 66 AND early month two on God's calendar.

Multitudes of people across the nation saw chariots and armed battalions hurtling through the clouds: 

"On the 21st day of the month Artemisius, a miraculous phenomenon, passing belief, appeared. Before sunset, throughout all parts of the country, chariots were seen in the air, sky, and armed battalions hurtling through the clouds and encompassing  the cities."

Roman historian, Tacitus, also wrote about the same supernatural  sign. He said they occurred just before the outbreak of the war:

... in the sky appeared a vision of armies in conflict, of glittering armor. (Tacitus, Histories 5: 13).

The chariots in the sky warned about the impending judgment of God  over the nation

So while Jesus did not physically come in AD 66 to rescue Jerusalem, he came to judge. Remember the scriptures showed that the Lord rides on clouds when He judges nations.

📕 Jesus will come again in the clouds

Jesus will come again in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. These events are the first resurrection, Battle of Armegeddon, Battle at the end of the world:

Mat 24:30

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.


Mat 24:31
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other

Dan 7:13
I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.


Dan 7:14
And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Zec 12:9

And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.


Zec 12:10
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.


Zec 12:11
In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

Rev 1:7

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

📕Conclusion

Jesus sent two signs the coming of the Son of Man:

Halley's Comet - star shaped sword in the sky lasting one year instead of a few weeks:

• 21st of Artemisius (66AD) which matches
• early May AD 66 AND 
• early month two on God's calendar, 6001.

Live vision of chariots in the sky over the nation of the Jews. Just as He prophesied, every eye saw Him.
